For a good reason, it is awesome. A melancholic intimate story about two people just enjoying each other's company trying to feel something as they are deeply unfullfilled in their personal and professional lives.

Finished Battle Royale (2000). An influental movie really kicking off the, ehm, battle royale trend in movies and other media. Very solid and thrilling with a bit of tongue-in-cheek style. Kitano playing, ehm, teacher Kitano steals the shows with his based performance. Characters get a bit fleshing out as much as 2 hour movie allows with such a big cast. Would be interesting to see a longer version in style of Alice in Borderland really digging into the characters and their relationships.

Watched Night in Paradise (2020). A captivating moody thriller about a gangster who takes revenge on a boss of rival gang after he kills his sister and nephew in a car crash. Protagonist is then sent to lay low in Jeju to home of boss' acquitance while waiting to get smuggled to Vladivostok. During his stay, he get to know acquitance's nephew, a woman whose gloomy personality contrasts with her occassional whimsical nature. Meanwhile on the mainland, the mafia conflict continue to evolve.
While the gangster stuff is definitely engaging, the main strong point of this movie are the quite melancholic moments. Just two people enjoying small things knowing even those won't last as their lives are messed up beyond repair. Actually, I think focusing more on those peaceful meditative moments and shortening the gangster stuff would benefit the movie. Also, not that big on the ending, feels a bit over the top. Still, fantastic film.
It was also nice to see Yeo-bin Jeon again as I was impressed by her role in the romantic drama A Time Called You earlier this year.

That is cool. That is actually how Juon franchise is structured, with each movie split into segments with different protagonists each being somehow connected to the house and every segment complimenting the overall story. Thinking about the story, that begins with couple waking up in the middle of the night as they hear banging on the wall despite their appartment being on the side of the building and how it all ties up together, insane and chilling.
Yeah, Lighthouse also kinda goes too far with the lies in the final stretch. Still haven't seen Nosferatu.

Finished replaying Chop Goblins (2022). A short FPS from the creator of Dusk. Inspired by a movie Gremlins, a man sneaks into museum's basement and accidentaly releases silly goblins into the world. Traversing time and space, he needs to put them back to their place. Simple but effective gameplay combined with a short length makes it good choice for replayed every year or two.
