Skoda goes hard on ads in Czech republic constantly repeating that they are Czech company (even though it's basically just volkswagen with different skin) and use every chance to show themselves.
As a result they have around 35% market share, which is by far the biggest one, even though their cars are on average 10-15% more expensive than their direct counterparts (sometimes basically the same cars under the hood) from Volkswagen, Seat, Opel, etc.
If you make enough effort to fuck with people's brain, it will make them decide for your product even if it is something expensive like a car.
