comparing it to another chromium vivaldi
pros:
-seems to scroll smoother for some reason
-no microsoft account necessary
-there's a feature called collections which is basically just a much prettier version of bookmarks
-sensible default settings and look
-all extensions I want work as expected
cons:
-downloads open a little bar on the bottom like chrome/brave/ie/.... which is annoying
-almost no customization just like chrome
-does not accept packed extensions from unofficial sources like chrome
As a personal summary: I will try it out for a few days to have vivaldi on main screen with vertical tabs and 2 edge windows on the vertical side monitor(see pic) as kch and media players(with musicbee at the bottom)
The browser itself is about on the level of brave browser I'd say, so I'd recommend it over chrome but not over vivaldi. It's not very distinct and the only link to microsoft I've found so far is syncing with a MS account and that collections feature which has a couple comfy export to office application functions
