ok, you let some application run on your pc. there are many different kinds.
if you only do it on one machine, something consumer-friendly like nicehash makes sense. it mines ethereum and they pay you out in bitcoin every 4 hours
I use their quickminer application. it runs in the background 24/7 (since I bought the gpu a couple months ago)
I only ever stop it when I play a big game or run a program that needs vram. the card runs at 55°C with 30% fan speed so I can't really hear it and have it running in the same room I sleep in.
I still use it without any problem while normally using the pc, because the thing that's used in mining is not the thing that's used for watching videos for example.
it depends a lot on the card and what miner you're running. there are some combinations that get loud/hot because they use more energy and are smaller cards. I wouldn't do it with such a combination for my personal everyday pc, but with the setup I have now it's really comfy, can recommend
