Bunch of cope it seems.
> it was sold to a swiss hearing aid tech company
Does it even matter at this point to what company it was sold to? They weren't making money off of their headphones so now they really have to do something different in order to sell more headphones so expect the Sennheiser brand to change. The OG people are gone and that's is enough.
> the brands headphones were and still are considered top3 brands of all time by basically everyone.
Why does it matter if they were popular? It doesn't make their headphones good but instead their marketing department.
> their lineup goes down to 50$ and the models right under their audiophile lineup are around 200$. for example I could buy the popular HD599 for 144$ right now
Yeah, they sell very cheap headphones too, but once you go above $200 you might get better drivers but the headphones themselves are still plastic and cheap which is unacceptable. How's it possible that Beyerdynamic, their competitor can sell much more durable and better materials for sometimes half the price?
> personally I still have a working 30$ one I used as a kid 20 years ago and my current one I dropped countless times. the plastic doesn't really break.
Anecdotal evidence, irrelevant. I've read numerous reports of people breaking their premium headphones, but it's irrelevant without real statistics.
> everything else is a meme or subjective
Like what? Their headphones having too little bass and too much mids? Not really
