> not small scale, just through corruption?
the politician stealing isnt really referred to as stealing, that guy was talking about regular subhuman "people" type of crimes gypsies
> politicians, corporate guys, idk.
just the emerging far right nut jobs complain about the EU, i guess the regular parties that are in power don't complain publicly but they certainly cant "steal" that much from EU funded stuff as opposed to tax funded stuff

> not very smart of them to ignore electric cars for so long while china saw it would be the future
germany built itself on the toxic auto industry and will die on that hill, could have redeemed themselves with nuclear energy or some form of renewable energy at least, there are other western EU countries that dont bend the knee to gas and petrol like they do
but its not like the germany govt or whatever could have forced them to "get good" at making electric vehicles, when you have been building gas guzzling metal boxes for 100 years you may encounter difficulties with electric shit, germany's fault as a state was just the heavy gas reliance and not being somewhat self sufficient at least in terms of energy

> The infrastructure in most of Europe also won't be there for at least few more decades.
doesn't mean it can't be built, it's a cycle you know, there is no charging stations available around and the average johan with a 200 HP bmw will say there's no point in getting an electric if you can't conveniently charge it
you have to have the infrastructure laid out somewhat well already to motivate people further, the tax writeoffs and shit already help but the lack of infrastructure deters them
if america can have it, surely europe can do a better job

i think they last long enough, there were also chink automakers making replaceable battery vehicles, like replacing them in a couple of minutes instead of charging, but that's a much larger infrastructure cost and most automakers won't adopt that route for sure

that was their downfall, big scary nuclear accidents that wouldnt happen in today's world

he's just acknowledging something they did wrong, and it is probably a commonly shared opinion among germans too, criticism isn't allowed in western europe?
