2024 was a busy year with many happenings, but we have come to the end and it's time to reflect and give props to the best kpap.

We will also look forward to 2025, the year of improvement. In spirit of that I will bring back weekly threads with recaps, even if it means I have to make all threads myself.

I remember early in highschool how hyped everyone was for that game, especially after Ezio trilogy. Didn't it turn out quite disappointing?

I didn't have have a computer for it back then, only really played the first one which got repetetive very quickly. Remember bits and piece from other games which my friend used to play when I was visiting him but nothing specific.

It was different from the Ezio trilogy, but IMO it was great on it's own

AC3 is my most replayed AC game I think, simply because it was easier to just pick up and play standalone

Imo it was a good ending and for me that is when AC died as a franchise

Black Flag is a very good game, but for me is not an AC game and all the following ones were just a downhill from there

Finished the sixth season of Riverdale. The lowest rated season of the series. The beginning meanders in somewhat pointless sidestories and plot progression is as messy as ever. However, it also features some of the most ridiculous episodes in the show. The new British villain is entertainigly evil and the plot at least escalates in kinda normal way.

I bought aristocratic potato chips. There's white people on the packaging and they have an olde english name, as well as many texts reminding the buyer about the rich tradition and history.


It is no surprise then, that this company founded in Herefordshire(none of it is pronounced quite as you'd expect) in 2002, was subsequently bought by Investcorp in bahrain and then sold to the US hershey company, produces these potato chips (or potato crisps, as the US-bahraini-british like to say) in the EU

Standard A4, A3, A2 paper size has aspect raio of about 1.4 the Sserafim poster is elongated to aspect ratio of 1.6, I could trim it to 1.4ish, it wouldn't be square

I am talking about operational leasing (basically long term rental)

We are using it for work. You pick a car, how long you want to rent it for (12,24,36 months, etc.) and how many km per year you wanna use it, then they calculate a monthly price for you and that's it. The insurance is covered, the servicing is covered, you only buy fuel and drive.

For a company (no VAT) it costs us around 200 Euros per month (240~ish with VAT)

So you can do that for year, it will cost you 2000-2500 Euros and you will have all the experience you need to pick the right car for you

Interesting, as I said, ours is covered by the leasing. We actually did calculation at work and it came out that for a car that is worth 30k Euros and time window of 10 years, it would actually be cheaper for me to rent it like that, than buying it, using it and then selling it. With the added benefit of course of having a new car every 2 years instead of using a 10 year old car if I had bought it.


Of course it veers a bit into the whole

As a first movie of the year, I watched August in the Water (1995). It begins as a teenage romance film but slowly shifts as weird occurences (such as mysterious illness, meteorites falling and unnatural water shortages) start to happen in the background. Very atmospheric and slow paced. It is also quite a strange movie I don't really know what to make out off. Would be probably enjoyable for Shinkai fans.

So for the guy that wanted the review of the Chinese lego knockoff

I finished it

From watching the video it's literally 1 to 1 copy of the official Lego stuff

The quality is a bit worse I had bits of plastic from the mold sticking out in places and 1 or 2 pieces that were unusable, but as you can see in the 4th pic there was a lot of extra pieces in the packaging so I replaced them

None of the pieces were missing

One issue I had was that the gears in gearbox were too loose and would fall off their axle when attaching driveshaft to them, so I had to glue some of the gears on the axles.

Some larger chunks were difficult to put together when alligning 7 different things at once, but this might be an issue with the official LEgo too, I just haven't had one of those so I can't make proper comparison


Overall it looks great, works great and is definitely worth the ~30 bucks they ask for it as opposed to 200+ for the official Lego set

I was curious about lakeside properties after a chingu mentioned it last time and found an out of this world place

There's a place that is ranked among the very top in attractiveness in all categories in the entire country. it's lakeside and very close to a city, so it has tranquility of the countryside, but you are 15 minutes away from a major uni and all the jobs and businesses that brings. then apparently it has a combination of top infrastructure like internet speeds, as well as insanely low taxes.

for that area, there is basically nothing available, but what I've seen is a 3room apartment for the banger price of only €5k+ per month. for sale the cheapest item, that actually had a price, was 13€ mill now both those things aren't actually connected to the lake, just quite close to it with a view on it. imagine what an actual lakeside property there costs


but tbh, if you are a upper class earner-nim, such places are crazy attractive just because of taxes. getting in is near impossible, but once you're blackpink in the area, you can build generational wealth just from the tax savings alone...

  • get healthier

  • do not get injured

  • lock in and become able to ignore the noise and focus on what matters

  • find out what i really want and can reasonably expect and divide it in small actionable steps

  • manage time better and make use of it

  • redevelop discipline

  • improve in certain areas by actually learning from past mistakes, working hard/doing the same thing over and over is not useful if you don't also learn from those mistakes
