I think a lot of people don't realize that while 85°C isn't damaging the GPU/CPU, it's only because they're being automatically throttled down. So people don't know that they're getting way worse performance than they paid for just because their cooling is shit. I'm surprised I'd never seen this talked about until I actively looked into it.
so today they started selling the nu intel cpus. there are 3 models and both the low and high one are sold out alraedy, however I could get the one I was actually aiming for, the i7 one. also looks like they just got a shipment of ddr5 ram in. I might actually do it
today I saw a tree that went completely wine red. it was so beautiful, I went the long way just to see it again. it'll probably loose its leaves very soon but until then it belongs in one of those jap gardens of perfection
hot damn I watched 3 reviews with charts now and it looks fantastic both in performance and real world pwr consumption. pretty much what I hoped for. only gotta see if windows software is werking and new ram doesn't make troubles.
I just ordered it
sad part about it is mb, ram, cpu and cooler together cost less than a modern gpu
it's so fucked up. you really have to do it these days or you're just dumb. I recommended it to a friend a couple months back when I bought a 950$ gpu. he just had a 2080ti not doing anything except being used normally for gaming. he was unsure about the whole thing since he's not a computer nerd and didn't do it. I did and already made 640$ back since then. it's completely fucked and stupid but what can you do
but seriously, that's pretty much the only way to buy a new gpu these days, it's not getting better. you're gonna get scammed by massive inflation and artificial scarcity etc. might as well use the made up electro money to only pay normal prices
